Remembering 9/11


Registration is now open for the 9/11 Interfaith Gathering. Atlantans of all faiths are invited to participate in this event designed to foster dialogue and mutual understanding, Sunday, 9/11/11 at 5:00 PM at Decatur Hotel and Conference Center, 130 Clairemont Road, downtown Decatur, Georgia. Parking is available at the hotel for a charge and there is free parking at the Decatur First Baptist Church next door. The 9/11/11 Interfaith Gathering planning committee includes Atlantans from a variety of faith expressions, including Buddhists, Christians, Hindus, Jews, and Muslims. 2011 Citizens Emergency Preparedness Fair: Fulton County Fire Rescue Department invites residents to attend the fair designed to provide community members an opportunity to learn steps to take in order to prepare and protect their families in small and large scale emergency situations. Fulton County’s Community Emergency Response Team, emergency vechiles along with Fulton County’s Fire Safety House will be on display. 9/10/2011; Publix Shopping Center, 5370 Campbellton Fairburn Road, Fairburn, GA.
